In the spirit of lifelong learning, the MHL offers further education programmes for people who are in professional life and would like to acquire or deepen their musical and pedagogical expertise. The programmes make it possible to obtain an internationally recognised certification while working. They are open to people with and without academic qualifications.
There is a great need for qualified specialists in both fields. Music plays a special role in people living together and in cultural education. The combination of academic and practical training by experienced teachers at the MHL enables students to acquire sound expertise for their professional future.
As part of the Competence Centre for Music Education Schleswig-Holstein (KMB.SH), the MHL works with its cooperation partners to continuously develop the programmes in line with demand. It explicitly invites people without professional musical training to participate. The compatibility of studies, career and family is supported by digital teaching formats such as learning videos and tutorials, which enable learning independent of time and place.
